✨ How Payments, Cancellations & Add-Ons Work (The "Friendly Version")

We like to keep things clear and simple — no fine print hidden in the corners. Here’s how it all works when you book a Curio Italia adventure:

💳 Payment Schedule

Booking is easy and flexible — you’ve got two ways to pay:

• Option 1: Easy Three-Part Plan
  • $100 deposit today (refundable for 15 days).

    • 1st payment → 30 days after booking

    • 2nd payment → 60 days after booking

    • Final payment → 90 days after booking

    • Book 150+ days before departure and pay in three easy steps:

  • Everything’s wrapped up 60 days before your tour. A small processing fee may apply per payment; the total will be shown aclearly at checkout.

• Option 2: Full Payment Plan
  • Want to be done with it? Pay everything right away.
  • You still get the same refund protections if you cancel.

As always, we highly recommend travel insurance for last-minute plans!

Booked late? If you join after some payment dates have passed, you’ll just need to catch up within 15 days (or pay in full at booking).  

If you book within 60 days of departure, the deposit PLUS full balance is due right away. Because you’re already close to the travel date, cancellations follow the same refund & credit rules as the cancellation and refunds shown as follows.

🛑 Cancellation & Refunds

Life happens, and we get it. Here’s what refunds and credits look like:

Refunds/credits are processed within 20 business days. Credits can be used on a future Curio Italia trip within 24 months.

👥 Minimum Group Size

Nearly of our tours need at least 6 guests to run.

• If that minimum isn’t met, the trip will be canceled and you’ll get a 100% refund — deposit and all.
• That refund is our only obligation, so you won’t be left waiting on promises we can’t keep.

➕ Optional Add-Ons

Add-Ons are little bonus adventures (like a Puglia extension or Vatican Museum tour) you can tack onto your base trip.

• Separate minimums: Add-Ons may require their own number of participants. If the minimum isn’t met, we’ll refund 100% of the Add-On cost — while your base trip still goes on.
• Operator obligation: We’ll tell you at least 60 days before departure if an Add-On won’t run. After that, if it’s on the schedule, it’s guaranteed.
• Flexibility in format: Some Add-Ons may run differently depending on how many people sign up:
  • If it’s just one or two Guests, you might join a trusted small group tour with another provider.
  • If enough Guests join, we’ll create a private Curio Italia experience just for us.
• Either way, you’ll get the core experience you booked.

📋 Cancellations Made Simple

• The easiest way to cancel is by using our Cancellation Form. You’ll instantly get an email confirmation with the official date/time — this is your “cancellation date.”
• Prefer email? Send your request to info@curioitalia.com (be sure to include your Booking Reference). The time stamp on our server counts as your cancellation date.
• Refunds or credits (if due) are processed within 20 business days.
